Dr Laura Mills
Dr Laura Mills is a provisional psychologist who is particularly interested in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She is a compassionate and approachable therapist who is passionate about helping people make sense of their experiences, including challenges relating to confidence, anxiety, identity, relationships, school and university, and low mood. Laura aims to create a space where clients feel understood and comfortable being themselves while exploring the factors that may be contributing to their difficulties.
Adolescents
Laura enjoys supporting adolescents who may be experiencing anxiety, low mood, self-esteem difficulties, friendship challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, or feeling unsure of themselves. She aims to combine humour and genuine curiosity to create a space where young people feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and experiences without judgement, while developing a stronger understanding of themselves and greater confidence in who they are.
Laura works collaboratively with adolescents to explore the factors that may be contributing to their difficulties, while helping them develop practical skills, emotional awareness, and self-confidence that can support them both now and into the future.
Young Adults
Laura is particularly interested in working with young adults and supporting them through the challenges that can arise during periods of change, uncertainty, and personal growth. She has experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, procrastination and attentional difficulties, body image concerns, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.
Drawing on practical strategies, Laura works collaboratively with clients to help them build more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others, while moving towards a life that feels meaningful and aligned with their values.

Children
Laura enjoys supporting children and their families across a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. She creates a warm and engaging environment where children can explore their experiences through conversation, creativity, play, and age-appropriate therapeutic activities. Laura aims to tailor therapy to each child's developmental stage, interests, and individual needs, helping them better understand their emotions, build confidence, and develop skills to navigate challenges. Laura also works closely with parents and caregivers to support positive change both within and beyond the therapy room.
