Dr Michelle Darragh
Clinical Psychologist
If you're struggling with past events, or with current emotions, thoughts, or the effects of stress and burnout, we can help. If you've never seen a psychologist before and the whole process feels daunting, or if you've seen a few and haven't yet found the one you "click" with, that's exactly what I built Unburden to fix.
I'm not your typical psychologist. I've worked as an Army psychologist, in private practice, and across a range of corporate roles from middle management to senior leadership, as many corporate psychologists do, with clients ranging from frontline first responders to CEOs. I've lived in four cities, including seven years in Vietnam in a senior management role dealing with staff, senior leadership, and government authorities. Along the way I've juggled my own family chaos alongside work pressure, and a couple of business ventures, some that worked and some that didn't.
When I see people who are anxious, depressed, burnt out, or carrying trauma, I understand it not only because of my training, but because I've lived a fair bit of it myself.
These days I'm not taking new clients personally. Instead, I've put that same standard into building this team: I personally choose, train, mentor, and supervise every psychologist here, and several bring their own senior expertise well beyond mine in specific areas. So even if you found your way to this page because you've heard about me from someone else, when you book with any of our team, you're getting care held to the standard I'd hold myself to.
